The biophilia hypothesis popularized by Edward O.Wilson, suggest that humans desire and actively seek to make connections with nature and the other. Constructed from natural materials the sculptures are informed by cubism and surrealism, and playfully suggest a genetic affinity with the natural world. The use of colour and materiality entice the viewer to focus on the power of nature and the mysterious organic shapes that biologically exist.
